Brazilian international footballer Neymar Jr. and his girlfriend Bruna Biancardi have formally separated only a month after welcoming their first child together.
On October 7, the footballer, 31, and the influencer, 29, announced the birth of their daughter Mavie, saying she “came to complete our lives.”
Their break up comes after weeks of speculation that they are no longer together, amid rumors of Neymar’s infidelity.
Confirming the news on her Instagram story, Biancardi wrote ‘This is a private matter, but since I am often associated with news, suspicions, and jokes, I would like to inform you that I am not in a relationship.
“We are Mavie’s parents, and that is the reason for our relationship. I hope you won’t associate me with the news so often anymore. Thank you.”
In recent months, Neymar has been accused of cheating on Biancardi, with damning footage of him partying with two different women in a Spanish nightclub appearing earlier this year.
According to reports, the couple had a bizarre sex contract that allowed Neymar to flirt and sleep with other women.
However, the contract had explicit terms and restrictions. This included the Brazilian not being allowed to kiss ladies on the lips, having to use a condom during intercourse, and keeping the connection a secret.
There are also claims that he solicited nudity from Brazilian OnlyFans star Aline Farias, with Farias allegedly revealing screenshots of her interaction with Neymar.
Meanwhile, he was dogged by new charges of adultery with influencer Fernanda Campos in June, causing him to apologize to Biancardi on social media.
He wrote, “Bru. I do this for both of you and your family. Justify the unjustifiable. No need to. But I need you in our lives.
“I saw how much you were exposed to, how much you suffered with all of this, and how much you want to be by my side. And I stand beside you. I did wrong with you all. I risk saying I’m wrong every day, on and off the pitch. Only I can solve my mistakes in my personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and friends…
“All of this hit one of the most special people in my life. The woman I dreamed of following beside me was the mother of my child.
He added, “Bru, I already apologized for my mistakes and for unnecessary exposure, but I feel obligated to come publicly reaffirm that. If a private matter has become public, the apology has to be public. I can’t imagine being without you. I don’t know if we’ll work out, but today you’re sure I want to try.
“Our purpose will prevail, our love for our baby will win, and our love for each other will make us stronger. Always us. I love you.”
Neymar, who previously had a son with Brazilian socialite Carolina Dantas, had been with Biancardi since 2021. They kept their affair quiet until January 2022, when they made it official on Instagram.
They did, however, announce the end of their romance in August 2022, only to rekindle it soon after. The break comes at a tough time for Neymar on the field.
In August, the 31-year-old completed a £78 million move from PSG to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, signing a two-year agreement worth £130 million per season.
However, he suffered a catastrophic knee injury while playing for Brazil in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Uruguay last month.
After rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, Neymar will be out for the remainder of the season.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus intends to de-register Neymar from his squad in order to make way for a new foreign signing.
