Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, will launch the resurfacing and rehabilitation of existing roads, as well as repair work on major road bridges, on Monday.
Anthony Ogunleye, the Ministry’s Director of Press, said in a statement on Saturday that it is part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the FCT.
According to him, the resurfacing project, which will cover 135 roads in the Garki, Wuse, Gwarimpa, and Maitama Districts, will revitalize the resurfaced roads.
The flag-off event will take place at 2 p.m. along Ladoke Akintola Boulevard in Garki II, Abuja.
According to the announcement, this would be the Minister’s first significant infrastructure development project, and he has underlined his resolve to ensure the nation’s capital’s rapid infrastructure growth.
