The Police Public Relations Office, Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, has called on Nigerians to report crimes to the appropriate authorities.
In a statement on Friday, Edafe urged the public to trust the force and help it eliminate crime in the country.
He mentioned that people who experience crime cases and fail to report them inadvertently promote criminality in the country.
Edafe’s statement reads, “When you experience cases of armed robbery, kidnapping, or any other related crimes and keep it to yourself without reporting it to the force, it is just like being sick and staying home and expecting the hospital to know that you are sick.
“People are encouraged to trust in the Nigeria Police, please.”
