Transparency and accountability platform Tracka has dismissed insinuations that it is working for any political party in Nigeria.
Reacting to claims by some politicians and their supporters that it might be working for a political party, Tracka said it was only working for a more transparent and accountable Nigeria.
“If Tracka ask APC lawmakers to account for Constituency projects they call us @OfficialPDPNig. If we call PDP to account they refer us as @APCNigeria,” it tweeted via its official Twitter account.
Tracka then urged Nigerians to disregard such accusations. “Please be aware, we work for no party, but we belong to Nigerians. Our goals is to ensure public funds must work for the people,”
Tracka has been educating Nigerians on what they need to know about constituency projects which are imputed in the national budget by federal lawmakers.
The transparency platform has repeatedly demanded that lawmakers account for projects which were nominated.
