President Bola Tinubu congratulated three Nigerian teenagers who emerged as world winners at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, United Kingdom.

Tinubu, in a statement published on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, hailed the trio for their outstanding success, hailing them as shining models of Nigeria’s future potential.

The students, Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu (17), Rukayya Muhammad Fema (15), and Hadiza Kashim Kalli, represented Nigeria in the worldwide tournament, outperforming thousands of competitors from 69 countries.

Nafisa was named Overall Best in English Language Skills, Rukayya won Overall Best in Debate, and Hadiza received the Outstanding Talent Award (Gold Medal).

“President Tinubu commends these exceptional young Nigerians for the feat and affirms that the nation’s future is much brighter with many of its youth as repositories of excellence.

“The President also commends the institutions of learning and states that these accomplishments are a testament to the quality and potential of Nigeria’s education system as a nurturer of some of the world’s brightest minds,” the statement read.

Tinubu mentioned that the Federal Government was making significant investments in the education sector and had removed financial barriers for indigent students through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.

“The President encourages Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain steadfast in their studies and wishes them continued success,” the statement concluded.

The students, who attend Nigerian Tulip International College in Yobe State, were previously honoured by the Yobe State Government and other notable Nigerians, including Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, President of the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria and former Minister of Communications.

Pantami, in a Facebook post, requested the Federal Government to award the students with national honours and pecuniary prizes, comparing their accomplishments to that of the Super Falcons and D’Tigress.

“Let’s invite our daughter and the daughter of all Nigerians, along with her teacher, to the Presidency. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander,” he said.
