President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Saleh Abubakar as the new Director-General of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW).
This was announced in a state house press release signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), on Saturday.
According to the statement, “Mr. Abubakar is a highly experienced public administrator with decades of experience across several sectors.”
The statement added that Tinubu “expects diligence and dedication” from the new DG “in driving the agency’s mandate of empowering communities to combat land degradation, enhance food security, and build resilience to climate change through sustainable interventions and education.”
Abubakar has served as Chief of Staff to the former Governor of Yobe State Ibrahim Gaidam for a decade, and as Yobe State Head of Service.
