Khaby Lame has left the US after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for allegedly overstaying the terms of his visa.

The Senegalese-Italian TikToker was reportedly detained at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on June 6.

The ICE, multiple local reports reveal, said Lame entered the country on April 30 but was detained for “overstaying the terms of his visa”.

The agency said the 25-year-old comedian was granted voluntary departure and has since left the US.

Following the incident, Lame posted a picture to his Instagram story on Monday with the location tagged in São Paulo, Brazil.

His detainment and departure from the US come amid President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.

A voluntary departure allows those facing removal from the US to avoid a deportation order on their immigration record.

Deportation could prevent them from being allowed back into the country for up to a decade.

Lame is known as the most-followed person on TikTok, with more than 162 million followers.

He has held the title since June 2022.

The comedian also has 80 million Instagram followers and 12.5 million subscribers on YouTube.

He is famous for videos where he mocks complicated life hacks by showing the easiest way to do things, often with a humorous expression.
