TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly called Seaking has been released from police custody,
His release was announced by the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.
Seaking was arrested on allegations of cyberbullying against the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, following remarks made during a live session in December 2024.
Sowore, the former presidential candidate, said he was a signatory to the administrative bail granted to the TikToker.
“We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from @PoliceNG custody after our prompt rejection of the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant, resulting in a swift agreement and release on administrative bail, signed by me,” Sowore wrote, adding a photo of SeaKing in a car smiling.
Adeboye called for the release of the social media user during his church’s February Holy Ghost service held at the 3 km by 3 km auditorium, Simawa, Ogun State.
According to the clergy, the TikToker was only fulfilling prophecy.
“God told us at the beginning of this year that mockers will be more active; they would become bolder, even hot,” said the RCCG leader.
“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children.
“I was told that some people are so angry, and they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy,” he said.
