Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has eulogized the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, as a compassionate servant on the occasion of his 78th birthday.
The ex-senate president on Monday highlighted that Atiku has been committed to national progress.
Saraki wrote a personal message on his official X account to convey his birthday wishes to Nigeria’s former vice president.
“His Excellency, Alhaji @Atiku Abubakar, stands as a compassionate servant of the people whose lifelong dedication to the nation’s progress and unity has earned him the admiration of Nigerians across the globe.”
“As he marks his 78th birthday today, my family and I join all Nigerians in extending our warmest wishes for a very happy birthday.”
He extended his regards to Atiku in prayers: “We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to bless him with good health, strength, and wisdom to sustain his invaluable service to our nation. Ameen.”
Both chieftains are active members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Saraki declared his presidential campaign for the PDP presidential ticket in the 2019 election but lost the primaries to Atiku.
Later, Atiku appointed the ex-senator as the director general of his 2019 presidential campaign, a contest he lost to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
