The Nigeria Police Force has once again warned Nigerians about the actions of one-chance robbers across the country.

According to the police, one of the ways used by thieves to rob Nigerians is known as “Shifting Chair – One Chance.”

This was revealed in a photo posted on the force’s Facebook page on Monday.

The force asked individuals to be attentive, watchful, and avoid boarding trucks that are not painted in business colours or that lack proper identification.

The police’s security alert read, “It has become vital to inform intimate members of the public about trending methods adopted by criminals to rob unsuspecting citizens of their possessions. One of them is known as ‘Shifting Chair – One Chance.’

“The Nigeria Police Force advises citizens and other residents in Nigeria to be very watchful and avoid vehicles not marked commercially or vehicles without proper identification.”

One-chance is an organised crime committed by people who work together and use a method of calling passengers into waiting automobiles.

They capitalise on  commuters’ transport demands, particularly during peak hours in the morning and evening.
