    The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended the suspect accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the Alakuko area of the state. 

    This was confirmed by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency on Friday.

    In a statement posted on X on Friday, the agency said it is working with the Lagos State Police Command to investigate the incident.

    According to the organisation, the victim is receiving intensive medical care, while the suspect is in police custody.

    The statement said, “We appreciate everyone who brought the tragic incident of child sexual abuse in Alakuko, Lagos, to our attention.

    “We are working with the Lagos PoliceNG in investigating the case.

    “The survivor is receiving comprehensive medical care, and the suspect is currently in police custody. More details to follow.”

    Chronicle NG reported on Monday that a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her landlord’s son in the Alakuko area of Lagos.
