Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, voted in the Ondo State Governorship election at Unit 17, Ward 3, Okeagbe, Akoko North West Local Government Area.
He shared photos of his voting process and accreditation on his official X page.
“At exactly 11:34 a.m., I cast my vote at unit 17: Ward 3 Okeagbe, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, in the #Ondo2024 Governorship Election.
“It’s been a peaceful election with officials displaying high-level professionalism coupled with an encouraging turnout of voters,” he wrote.
Earlier, Chronicle NG reported that Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State and the All Progressives Congress’ governorship candidate, voted at his polling station in Igbo Ward 4, Obenla village, Ilaje Local Government Area.
Aiyedatiwa, accompanied by security aides, arrived at his voting station around 8:46 a.m. and voted exactly at 8:50 a.m., to the shouts of his relatives.
The election in the state kicked off early in many polling units, with many voters eager to cast their ballots.
