    Makinde mourns as Olubadan dies at 90

    The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has passed away at the age of 90.

    According to information gathered by Chronicle NG, the revered monarch died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025.

    His passing comes amid celebrations marking his 90th birthday and the first anniversary of his coronation.

    Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne following the death of his predecessor, Oba Lekan Balogun.

    As at the time of this report, full details surrounding his demise are still emerging.
