The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 604 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 604 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 38948.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 246 patients from isolation centers across the country with 20 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 203 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 13806.
Oyo state recorded 87 new cases, FCT reported 79 new cases while Edo, Osun and Ogun recorded 41, 35 and 24 new cases respectively.
Other states are Rivers-22, Kaduna-22, Akwa Ibom-20, Plateau-18, Delta-9, Ebonyi-9, Imo-8, Enugu-5, Kano-5, Cross River-5, Katsina-4, Nasarawa-3, Borno-2, Ekiti-2 and Bauchi-1.
NCDC reports that there are 38948 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 16061 discharged and 833 deaths.
