The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has called on members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to be change agents in a bid to rid the country of corruption.
Magu, who was represented by the EFCC Port Harcourt Zonal Head, Abdulrasheed Bawa, stated this on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 when he received members of the EFCC/NYSC Community Development Service, CDS Phalga group, who paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Commission.
“The fight is not for the EFCC alone but for all stakeholders in the country and we must all fight for the development and unity of this country,” he said.
He further emphasized the need for them to show more commitment and dedication to the war against economic and financial crimes.
While stressing the need for credibility and accountability which are core values of the EFCC, he charged them to strive to do the right thing all the time, adding that the CDS group was constituted to empower corps members to follow the right paths.
“We must correct the ills of the nation by doing what is right,” he stressed.

While commending the Corps members for synergizing with the EFCC in the fight against corruption, he tasked them to initiate changes in their immediate environments and places of primary assignments through exemplary conducts.
He also encouraged them to convey the anti-corruption message to other Nigerians in a bid to take ownership of the war against graft.
President, EFCC/NYSC CDS GROUP, Adedapo Esther, thanked the EFCC for the opportunity to join in the fight against corruption.
She explained that the main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the operations of the EFCC, and to be partners in the fight against corruption.
