Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has allegedly been murdered by her friend who kidnapped her and demanded for N3M ransom from her family.

Christianah was abducted on the 19th of August on her way to the University of Lagos, UNILAG, where she does her Industrial Training, IT.

According to reports, the suspect, Adeleye Ayomide, a student of the Olabisi Onabanjo UNiversity, (OOU) allegedly killed his first victim, his girlfriend when he was 17-year-old.

Also, he reportedly killed his sister and buried both victims in his parents’ house before he was apprehended by law enforcement operatives.

The news of Christianah’s murder by the suspected serial killer has generated heated reactions from Nigerians, with many calling for his immediate execution of the serial killer.

Chronicle NG highlights some of the reactions of Nigerians to the gruesome murder of Christianah.

Seisarl “This ‘friend’ allegedly killed his own sister and ex-girlfriend. He has killed Christianah too. You see that 15-year-old boy? hold him. Don’t let him go scott-free.”

Osetbaby, “This is a psychopath, and yet some people want us to rehabilitate and bring this grand manipulator back into our system?”

Kristiannah, “This guy’s behaviour is devilish, acting innocent while conversing with others. It’s quite devastating. A musician once said, ‘You trust who you know, but you don’t know a soul, except the one you own.”

Idans, “The guy is a serial killer, and he killed his girlfriend in 2018. The suspect’s ex-girlfriend was killed in the same manner. Also that in 2020, the suspect’s own biological sister met the same fate, and the same thing has happened to Christiannah in 2024. He should be killed too.”

Olamide, “They must not sentence him to death by hanging or to death; it must be by fire, so he continues in hell. Ayomide at 17 killed his first victim and buried her in his parent house. Then we need to ask his parents a lot of questions because there is no way they won’t know something about their son.”

Oluwadamilola, “You killed your ex-girlfriend in 2018, killed your sister in 2020, and now you’ve killed your friend too in 2024. That guy shouldn’t die an easy death; I don’t even want to know his age. Death by firing squad or bury him alive.”

Dan Mazy, “Heard the bastard is a serial killer; he doesn’t deserve death by hanging or firing squad; his body should be chopped off bit by bit; he should feel endless pain; he can’t just die peacefully; he needs to experience his soul gradually leaving his body.”

Aina Yombo, “Who would have thought? He looks so decent and innocent. They should kill him too. Thank God he’s an adult; let him dance to his music. Bastard.”

Olúyẹmí Fásípè, “Adding my voice to #JusticeForChristianah, I stand in solidarity with all those calling for accountability and justice for the tragic loss of a young life. We must demand answers and ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.”
