Operatives of the Nigeria Police stationed at the Eagles Square in Abuja have dispersed protesters with canisters and pepper spray.

At 10:30 a.m., police fired canisters after firing warning non-lethal rounds at the ground.

Following the warning shots, an enraged demonstrator approached the police officers, holding up a baby and daring them to shoot.

As other demonstrators joined her, they confronted the officers and challenged them to shoot.

In response, police used pepper spray and tear gas canisters to disperse the protesters.

As of the time of reporting this post, it was unclear whether the police had detained the unidentified woman who faced the policemen with a baby.
