    The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced that there will be a nationwide recruitment for young graduates and experienced professionals in Nigeria.

    FIRS made the announcement on its official social media pages, with the recruitment, aimed at strengthening its services.

    The agency urged prospective applicants to carefully review the eligibility criteria provided in the official notice before applying.

    The positions are designed for individuals ready to make a meaningful impact on public service and contribute to Nigeria’s national development.

    Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications via the agency careers portal.

    • Nigeria’s FIRS is hiring

    FIRS said applicants must possess qualifications and relevant professional certificates as specified for the positions they are applying for. In addition, they must meet the following requirements:

    – A Bachelor’s Degree or HND with at least a Second Class Lower/Lower Credit.

    – Completion of the NYSC programme not later than December 31, 2017.

    – Applicants for Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager positions must be no older than 40 years as of December 31, 2024, while applicants for Senior Manager and Assistant Director roles must not exceed 45 years of age on the same date.

    – Strong leadership and management skills.

    – Strong team spirit and the ability to delegate effectively.

    – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    – Strong analytical skills.

    – Knowledge of Nigerian Tax Laws and an understanding of their application within the FIRS regulatory framework.

    – Familiarity with the business/industry environment within which taxpayers operate.

    – Ability to work as a regulator and ensure full compliance with laws.

    Interested candidates should apply via the official FIRS careers portal or through FIRS verified social media handles.

    The application portal will be open from Monday, 23rd December 2024. The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, 11th January 2025.
