A fire broke out at one of the committee conference rooms in the National Assembly Complex on Friday.
The fire incident occurred at Room 322 in the New Building wing of the House of Representatives section of the building.
The wing houses the offices of the lawmakers, committee rooms, banks and other private businesses.
Office of the Speaker is on the fourth floor.
It was learnt that the fire broke out on Friday evening, after the close of work when most of the lawmakers, workers and guests had left the premises.
Security personnel in the building were said to have put out the fire, preventing it from spreading to other rooms and floors on the wing.
