The widely shared video shows EFCC agents breaking into the same person’s hotel, the Regional, around 4 a.m. on June 27, while the guests were still asleep.
The officers reportedly fired rounds, injured customers, and arrested a few people.
Hotel staff claimed that the officials stormed into rooms, beat guests and employees, and stole ATM cards, money, and phones.
CCTV footage showed officials breaking into the manager’s room, where they were seen pushing and slapping her before stealing personal items from a drawer.
According to the EFCC statement, the officers were part of a sting operation at the Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos, that resulted in multiple arrests.
