    President Bola Tinubu has promised to end scarcity and the high cost of food in the country.

    The President made the pledge during his independence day nationwide broadcast on Tuesday.

    According to the President, his administration is working assiduously to bring succour to the populace.

    He mentioned that his administration is winning the fight against terrorism, which has displeased farmers from their locality.

    Tinubu, who vowed to continue recording victories against bandits, terrorism, and kidnappings in the country, stated that this will lead to farmers returning to their farms.

    “As soon as we can restore peace to many communities in the troubled parts of the North, our farmers can return to their farms,” he said.

    “We expect to see a leap in food production and a downward spiral in food costs. I promise you, we shall not falter on this,” he added.
