Wilfred Ndidi, Super Eagles midfielder, has joined Turkey’s Besiktas from Leicester City for €8 million.

The Turkish club announced the acquisition on its website on Friday.

Ndidi penned a three-year deal with the option to extend the contract for another year.

The 28-year-old arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, for his medical earlier in the week.

He will be joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, former Manchester United manager, who became the club’s head coach last season.

Besiktas have been busy with their restrengthening during the transfer window. The club signed Tammy Abraham on loan on from Roma last month.

The Super Eagles midfielder joined Leicester from Genk in January 2017 and spent eight years as one of the club’s best midfielders.

He made 303 appearances in all competitions, finding the net 18 times.

He won Emirates FA Cup and FA Community Shield with the club in 2021, and also won the Sky Bet Championship title in 2023/24.

Ndidi is the lastest Super Eagles player to move to Turkey. He joins Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu who both retuned permanently to Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, repectively, last month.
