Former head of new media for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Deji Adeyanju has said that bandits may start kidnapping governors if care is not taken.

The convener of Concerned Nigerians stated this in reaction to the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Afaka in Kaduna state, which resulted in the death of two officers and the abduction of one.

Adeyanju opined that if bandits could dare go after the military, then state governors might be next.

The activist stated this in a tweet on Tuesday, adding that it was absurd and unthinkable.

He said: “For those of us that know the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna very well, it remains unthinkable that bandits can invade the place, kill three soldiers, then kidnap other officers. If bandits can abduct soldiers in their own barracks, they will soon start abducting Governors.”

It can be recalled that Chronicle NG reported the attack by bandits on the NDA barracks on Tuesday.

The NDA authorities have assured the general public that it is on the trail of the bandits and will soon rescue the abducted officer.
