The Lagos State Police Command on Friday released singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Samson, better known as Sam Larry, after the duo met their bail conditions.
The command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Friday in a statement saying, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
The duo were released on Friday afternoon after perfecting their bail conditions granted by Justice Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.
Justice Olatunbosun had on Monday, November 6, granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties.
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Olatunbosun ruled.
The duo were arrested as part of an investigation into Mohbad’s death after videos of assault against the late singer surfaced online.
