The father of Timilehin Ajayi, the gospel singer arrested for killing a NYSC corps member, Salome Adaidu, has pleaded for the release of his son.

Chronicle NG reports that Ajayi was found in possession of the severed head of Salome Adaidu in a polythene bag and has been remanded by a Nasarawa State High Court.

The incident occurred in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

While Salome’s family continues to grieve, Ajayi’s father is pleading for his release. He made the request during an interview with Channels Television.

“I want the government to help me so that the matter is settled. I want them to help me beg so that he is released, he said.

However, the mother said she has left everything for the government to handle.

‘”If it was one of my daughters they did that to, how would I feel?” She asked.

“So government can do anything they want to do. Everything is in their hands.” She concluded

Ajayi, a TikTok motivational speaker, confessed to perpetrating the crime during his interrogation.

In a viral video, he claimed to have had a one-year relationship with Adaidu before her death.

He alleged that a heated argument escalated into a violent confrontation during which Adaidu reportedly tried to stab him with a knife.

Adaidu’s corpse have subsequently been interred, as evidenced by a viral video of a group of men executing the burial while melancholy wailing can be heard in the background.
