Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has assured that more heads will roll following the sack of State Security Service DG, Lawal Musa Daura earlier today.

Osinbajo reacting to the unauthorized takeover of the National Assembly complex by the DSS, described it as a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all accepted notions of law and order.

He noted that those involved in the invasion will be dealt with. “Persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to disciplinary action.”

The acting President noted that Daura has been told to hand over to the highest ranking officer in the DSS.

“He has been directed to hand over to the most Senior Officer in the State Security Service,” he said in a tweet.

According to him, the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

“By this statement, Professor Osinbajo is consequently assuring Nigerians that all persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to appropriate disciplinary action,” a statement by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity read.

The unauthorized takeover of the NASS complex today is a gross violation of the rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.

Persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to disciplinary action.
