Popular TikToker simply identified as Mirabel has reneged on her earlier claims she was raped in her apartment on Sunday.

Mirabel is alleged to have made the revelation during a viral phone call with social media figure VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, on Thursday.

Mirabel admitted in an audio recording of the conversation, which was released online by VDM on Thursday, that her initial version was false.

She said, “The story about a stranger raping me isn’t true. On a normal day, I cut myself. I have panic attacks, and I engage in self-harm to cope.”

“Yes, sir, please help me; I am very sorry,” she was heard saying after being confronted with messages she had earlier claimed were sent by her alleged attacker.

During the interaction, she also acknowledged creating the threatening TikTok account herself to bolster her narrative.

“I have been taking drugs, and I was not thinking clearly when I posted the videos,” she reportedly said.

Mirabel previously claimed that she was assaulted and raped by a stranger who forced his way into her apartment in Ogijo, Ogun State.

The allegation, which she posted on the social media app TikTok, generated significant indignation, with many users demanding immediate action against sexual abuse.

She noted that she fabricated the rape claim because she felt overwhelmed and suicidal.

“I did that because I felt overwhelmed and wanted to end everything,” she said.

“I have been suicidal and just wanted to end it all,” she added.

When asked, the young lady also confirmed claims that she engages in same-sex sex. “I am a lesbian,” she confirmed.

Her recent revelation has led to many Nigerians calling for her arrest and prosecution by the police.
