Zamfara state Police Command complies with the order of the Federal High Court, Gusau by handing over the vehicles it impounded from the residences of former Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle, to the court.
The Nigerian Police Force and four other respondents involved in the seizure of automobiles and other assets from the houses of former Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle were ordered by the Federal High Court in Gusau to return them within 48 hours.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Aminu Bappa, ordered that all confiscated property, together with a detailed inventory, be brought into the court’s custody.
Chronicle NG had reported that on June 9, 2023, the police, along with DSS and NSCDC personnel, allegedly acting on a Court order, conducted a search on two private residents of the immediate past Governor of Zamfara State in Gusau and Maradun towns and impounded some vehicles allegedly belonging to the State Government.
