A wedding ceremony was brought to an abrupt end after the bride absconded, leaving the groom, family, and friends stranded.
Nansik Dashe’s wedding to Kapnan Ventur, originally scheduled for December 27th, 2024, at COCIN LCC, PIL Gani in the Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, did not hold because she took to her heels.
According to family sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the bride-to-be reportedly developed cold feet and fled on December 26th, leaving the groom, bridesmaids, family, and friends stranded.
However, Dashe reportedly returned after two weeks following the failed marriage ceremony.
It was gathered that she returned to her father’s house and not her husband’s house, who has paid the dowry and carried out every traditional marriage rite, except for the church wedding, which she absconded from.
The chief bridesmaid who spoke to our correspondent said she has only spoken to her once since she returned, and ”she is not saying much,” only that she is no longer interested in going through with the marriage for having developed cold feet.
Efforts to speak with Dashe and her estranged husband-to-be were abortive at the time of filing this report.
