Napoli secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Parma with two stoppage-time goals, leaving the Gialloblu winless in their last 15 Serie A away matches.

Parma’s troubles began early when Emanuele Valeri was forced off due to injury in the eighth minute. Despite this setback, they nearly took the lead through Valentin Mihaila, who narrowly missed the target after breaking past Napoli’s defense.

Parma continued to threaten, hitting the woodwork twice in quick succession—first with Mateusz Kowalski’s header striking the crossbar, followed by Ange-Yoann Bonny’s effort that hit the post.

Bonny’s persistence paid off shortly afterward when he won a penalty after a foul by Napoli’s goalkeeper, Alex Meret. Bonny confidently converted from the spot to give Parma a deserved lead.

Antonio Conte’s men, determined to respond quickly, saw their efforts thwarted by Parma’s makeshift defense and an inspired performance from goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. Pasquale Mazzocchi’s header was denied, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had his volley bravely blocked by Enrico Del Prato, who later found himself in an unfamiliar role.

Parma continued to withstand Napoli’s pressure, even after the cooling break, with Adrian Bernabe nearly doubling their lead with a long-range strike.

Meanwhile, Kvaratskhelia’s attempts to equalize for Napoli were continually denied by Suzuki.

After halftime, Napoli intensified their attacks, but Parma’s defense held firm. Suzuki, however, was sent off in the final minutes after a second yellow card for a foul on David Neres, leaving Parma without a goalkeeper. With all substitutions used, Del Prato was forced to step in as a makeshift keeper.

The drama continued as Romelu Lukaku, on his debut, powered a shot past Del Prato in the second of 11 added minutes to level the score.

Napoli then seized the advantage with a bullet header from Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, sealing the win.

Parma’s late effort from Pontus Almqvist was saved, confirming their first defeat of the SA campaign and extending their away winless streak.
