Everton’s unbeaten run in the Premier League extended to five games as substitute Beto scored a dramatic injury-time equalizer, cancelling out Alex Iwobi’s goal for Fulham at Goodison Park.

Everton fans witnessed a solid defensive display in recent games, with only two goals conceded in their last four Premier League outings.

The opening minutes were unsurprisingly quiet, but Fulham soon gained control, with their first real threat coming in the 27th minute.

Adama Traore tested Jordan Pickford from a tight angle, and Emile Smith Rowe sent a close-range volley over the bar moments later.

The game began to spark as Everton seemed to break the deadlock, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacting quickly to slot home a rebound after Idrissa Gueye’s shot struck the crossbar. However, a VAR review ruled Calvert-Lewin narrowly offside, keeping the scoreline level.

Fulham eventually broke through after an hour. Smith Rowe surged forward from midfield, skipping past Everton defenders before laying the ball off to Iwobi, who dribbled into the box and struck a precise finish into the bottom corner.

While Iwobi’s celebrations were muted against his former club, Fulham fans erupted as their side moved closer to securing another win.

Sean Dyche responded by introducing fresh legs, with Orel Mangala and Beto replacing Abdoulaye Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin. As the clock wound down, one of those substitutes proved vital; Beto latched onto Ashley Young’s volleyed cross deep into stoppage time to nod home the equalizer.

For Fulham, this late draw after recent losses to Manchester City and Aston Villa felt like a missed opportunity, though they move up to 10th. Meanwhile, Everton, buoyed by Beto’s timely goal, continued to build momentum, climbing to 15th in the table.
