Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has cried out over her health struggles as she announces the return of her fibroid despite undergoing surgery two years ago to have them removed.
The actress originally learned about the illness in 2017 before getting a myomectomy procedure in 2022, which was an evasive treatment to remove fibroids and provided her with optimism until today.
Ini took to Instagram to share how she began to notice the signs again, encouraging other women to get tested on time.
Ini has opted to try a different way of shrinking the fibroid than myomectomy in the hopes of finding a long-term solution.
“My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on December 30, 2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.
The actress, who has starred in several blockbuster movies like ‘Kill Boro’, offered warm comfort to women going through the same ordeal.
“To every woman dealing with fibroids, I want you to know I see you. It’s not an easy journey, but my hope is that we can change the narrative and find a real and permanent remedy for fibroids,” she said.
