A Dunamis Church situated at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the Benue State capital has collapsed.
Chronicle NG gathered that the unfortunate incident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday left a pastor dead as the building caved in.
Before the tragedy happened, four people—including the pastor—were reportedly praying in the church building, sources at the scene of the incident confirmed to Chronicle NG
The other three people managed to get out of the wreckage.
The collapse had an impact on nearby residential structures and the electrical infrastructure.
Nevertheless, it’s unknown what caused the tragedy.
Anene Sewuese Catherine, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, responded that she was unaware of the occurrence when called.
While emergency personnel were their route to the scene of the collapsed building, police officers from the C Division, North Bank, were already on the site as of time of writing this report.
