After chaos brought on by gunshots allegedly fired by some disgruntled youths, the voting process was interrupted at the GSS polling unit in Ofoni, the hometown of the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, in the Sagbama Local Government Area.

It was stated that two women had been shot, but they were not in serious condition.

Two of the three angry adolescents, on the other hand, were reportedly taken into custody by a mob and given to security personnel.

    • No voting in Imo, INEC officials and voting materials absent

Nonetheless, voting resumed after everything returned to normal, and at around 10 am, Ewhrudjakpo cast his ballot at his unit in Ward 2, Unit 6, in Ofoni.

He advised the electorate to be peaceful and orderly as a credible process would put the nation and state in good standing for better development.
