Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding minister of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, in Lubo, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State, has been killed by gunmen.

The gruesome murder of Galadima by the gunmen was confirmed by the Gombe State Police Command on Sunday.

Chronicle NG gathered that the incident occurred early on Sunday morning.

Police Public Relations Officer DSP Buhari Abdullahi confirmed the occurrence, stating that it was a robbery that resulted in the clergyman’s death.

He said, “The issue is a robbery because they entered the house at night, and maybe they attempted to rob him.

“Unfortunately, from the way he was shot in the back, maybe he was trying to escape, which is natural and normal, and he was shot.”

Abdullahi revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, visited the hospital where the deceased’s body was transported and dispatched a team of special squad to keep order, saying that the perpetrators will be apprehended and face the full force of the law.

Recalling the incident, a local known as Ahmadu stated that it occurred early Sunday morning.
He stated that the gunmen entered the pastor’s residence from a civil defence personnel compound.

He stated, “They first visited the ECWA Church in the community before proceeding to a nearby compound where they stole some money.

“They didn’t come for the pastor, but we learnt he was shot when he peeped on hearing the sound outside. He was shot in the back.”
