A group of daring armed robbers have attacked a bullion van in Owo, Ondo state. A police officer was said to have been shot during the attack.
The bullion van, which is a property of a commercial bank, was attacked at Emure-Ile junction in Owo Local Government Area.
The gunmen reportedly carried out the operation while the bullion van was in motion.
Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, DCP Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident.
Unfortunately for the robbers, the bullion van was empty when they struck.
