A group of unknown armed men have killed a police officer during an attack on a hotel in Abuja.
It was gathered that the assailants stormed Hilltop International Premium Hotel at Tunga-Maje in the Gwagwalada Area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT on Tuesday night.
The security agents on duty engaged the gunmen in a firefight which led to the death of a policeman.
Reports also say that three visitors of the hotel were injured during the attack.
The attack was confirmed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh.
“She said, “some gunmen attacked the hotel last night and police officers engaged them in a gun battle. Unfortunately, one of our men paid the supreme price”.
“No suspect has been arrested yet but the command has commenced investigation into the incident,” she added.
According to reports, a similar incident had occurred in the same hotel in June, when a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Friday Makama and eight occupants of the facility were kidnapped.
