Popular gospel singer Paul Nwokocha has finally addressed the speculations around his marital problems, offering a blunt response in a trending video on his own YouTube page.

Nwokocha stated that he has no regrets about leaving his marriage, citing his wife’s claimed “abominable acts” as the catalyst for his choice.

“If I marry today and find out that the wife I married is doing an abominable thing before God and before man, I will send you out of my house,” he asserted in the video, which was posted on Sunday.

The gospel singer went on to reveal stunning details about his estranged wife’s alleged conduct, claiming she was sending nude images and films to other men.

He addressed anyone who questioned his decision to split from her, asking how they would react if faced with a similar treachery.

“I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe nobody an apology for this,” he stated emphatically.

The video has subsequently sparked a social media firestorm, with viewers divided on his public fury and intimate revelations.

While some support his clear moral stance, others question the propriety of discussing such personal concerns in public.

Meanwhile, Nwokocha’s newest marital trouble continues a trend of contentious divorces.

According to ABNTV on Monday, he has ended his second marriage after only two years, with the bride’s family legally returning the bride price—a move that customarily marks the end of a union.

Nwokocha married his second wife, Goodness Nwokocha, in September 2023, just a month after splitting up with his first wife, Alice Nwokocha.

His breakup from Alice was apparently owing to what he claimed as “maltreatment,” including her alleged refusal to feed him.

The artist has already expressed his conviction that marriage should be “for better, for better”—a departure from the traditional “for better, for worse” pledge.

A family source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, revealed that Goodness’ marriage to Nwokocha was beset with troubles from the outset. She allegedly suffered harassment in her new home, where she was treated more like a housemaid than a wife, ABNTV reported earlier on Saturday.

The insider also disclosed that Goodness had no prior love connection with Nwokocha before their marriage. She had moved from Lagos to be with him at the request of his uncles, without undertaking any background checks.

By May 2024, tensions had risen, and with the return of the bride payment, their marriage was formally over.
