Four male adults were seriously injured in an accident involving a Lexus car on Liasu Road in the Idimu area of Lagos State.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Chronicle NG, the incident occurred about 5 a.m. on Sunday.
The car was claimed to be travelling at full speed when it lost control, drove off the road, and crashed into a store opposite a Catholic church along the axis.
The accident also damaged a building behind the shops, harming several of its tenants who were still sleeping.
Eyewitnesses said that the occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries in the process.
The injured victims have been taken to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The driver managed to flee the scene of the incident unharmed, but locals caught up with him.
