    Foremost filmmaker needs N3.5m for spinal cord surgery

    Foremost cinematographer and filmmaker, Deji Adesanya is in need of N3.5 million for an urgent spinal cord surgery at Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ogun state.

    In October 2019, he was also diagnosed by the Orthopaedic department as having spinal cord injury as a result of an accident he had some 27 years ago, which has now degenerated to a severe disease  of the lumbar spine.

    This requires urgent surgery to prevent paralysis.

    Mr Adesanya who is best known for his films in the 90’s risk paralysis if a surgery is not quickly carried out. He is best known for his films such as Vigilante and Ose Sango (Sango’s Wand). He also has documentary works with Uncommon Service the most celebrated.

    He won the Best Documentary Film Award at the 2010 edition of Africast Awards for Uncommon Service.

    He is a resource person for National Board of Technical Education, NBTE.
