Armed bandits have killed at least five people in Gidan Sule village in Nasarawa state.
The police command of the state confirmed the incident, noting that four corpses were recovered while three injured victims were receiving treatment at the hospital.
However, one person died while receiving treatment, thereby bringing the total number of deceased to five.
The Nasarawa police spokesman stated that more police officers have been deployed to the area to forestall a reoccurrence and fish out the perpetrators.
