An INEC official was seen using a rope to hold together the voting cubicle meant for casting ballots, indicating delays in logistical arrangements.
At the time of filing this report, accreditation of voters had not commenced, while voters remained at the center, waiting patiently for the exercise to begin.
As of 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, officials were present at another polling place in Lugbe, Abuja, but voting had not yet begun.
At the Aleyita Primary School polling place, voters were waiting in line for the exercise to begin.
Our correspondent noticed a strong security presence at the location, with multiple police officers stationed alongside Nigeria Immigration Service agents.
Accreditation and voting had still not begun at the time of filing this report, and no official explanation had been provided for the delay.
