A criminal has been apprehended by operatives of the Nigerian police while hiding in the ceiling of a popular Nigerian bank.
A viral video captured the dramatic moment the criminal was apprehended, hiding inside the ceiling of the First City Monument Bank.
According to witnesses, the criminal allegedly entered the bank, known as FCMB, during work hours, discreetly shut himself inside the lavatory and then climbed onto the ceiling until all employees had left for the day.
However, when workers came the next morning, they discovered that the main entrance was shut from the inside.
Suspecting foul play, they broke the door open and discovered strange sounds emanating from the ceiling.
Security operatives caught the guy tampering with bank systems.
In the viral clip, he is seen being forcefully pulled down, beaten, and tied up with a rope by security personnel and others present.
The bank had yet to issue an official statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.
