Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has reportedly died at the age of 61.

The actor, who has been battling with chronic kidney disease, passed away on Sunday morning, March 24, 2024.

His junior colleague, Kingsley Orji, who confirmed the sad news, said Muonagor died at his residence in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The veteran Nollywood actor, in a video that surfaced on social media, could be seen struggling to speak as he introduced himself with a brief explanation of his condition.

The actor stated this while crying out for help, as he battled paralysis. He said half of his left leg was paralyzed.

“I’m sick; this thing that is called a stroke caught up with me, and from there they rushed me to the hospital. The first hospital they rushed me to was in Nnewi, where I spent some two months, and I was referred to Teaching Hospital Nnewi, and here I am,” Muonagor said.
