The Benin zonal directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday arrested 25 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud at a cybercrime training centre in Benin City, Edo State.
The suspects were apprehended at their hideout following reliable intelligence suggesting that the apartment was functioning as a training facility for internet-related fraud and other deceptive practices.
The suspects had in their possession six exotic cars, along with laptops and phones.
The suspects will face charges in court once the investigations are complete, a statement by EFCC on Friday said.
