The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has completed plans to release the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, is set to hold a press briefing in Abuja on Monday about the release of the results and associated items, according to a notice distributed to the press in the capital city.
Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head of public relations, made the information available on Sunday.
However, there are hints that the results will be revealed on Monday for applicants who took the UTME in the first few days, while others will be released after “due diligence” is finished.
JAMB had previously stated that the decision to postpone the publication of the results for a few days was made to enable adequate time for rigorous inspection.
According to the testing organisation, this action was adopted to ensure the reliability and integrity of the results, removing any concerns or uncertainties, particularly regarding impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malfeasance.
Over the last week, more than 1.9 million candidates enrolled in the 2024 UTME at over 700 computer-based test centres around the country.
The 2024 examination, which began on Friday, April 19, 2024, is slated to be completed today.
