Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has urged Nigerians to disregard his party’s draft manifesto that is being circulated on social media and in the media.

Obi, in a message on his social media account, explained that the complete manifesto will be released by him when it is ready.

In a tweet on Monday morning, Obi said, “We have not formally released our manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space.

“Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated,” Peter Obi said.

Reacting to his clarification, his supporters praised him for his resilience and said that even without a manifesto they will still support him.

Commenting under the tweet, Jude Ukaigwe wrote, “After reading Peter Obi’s pre approved manifesto and learning his plans for a new Nigeria like moving Nigeria from a monthly wage structure to an hourly wage structure, I have decided to stop campaigning for Tinubu. I will now throw all my weight behind Peter Obi.”

El Chapi wrote that, “Can people stop been hasty to release our manifesto hard copy, we know we are happy with what Peter Obi is doing let us not be over zealous and release what is not approved, thank you everyone.”

Musa Dawa shared a similar sentiment. “Musa doesn’t need any written manifesto, your political will is my manifestation of the glory days ahead. Lead while Musa follow, follow who knows the road. Scout front while Musa secure the back Gate.”
