Dangote Industries Limited has been named Brand of the Year in recognition of the company’s outstanding business performance over the last year.
During the ceremony in Lagos, John Ajayi, Publisher of Marketing Edge, explained that Dangote won the flagship award category in recognition of the company’s ongoing contributions to the economic development of Nigeria and Africa.
“This recognition covers many business investments and corporate interventions carried out by the company in Africa as a continent,” Ajayi noted.
During the award ceremony, he attributed Dangote’s high ranking among its peers to its vigorous employment generation activities, which had provided jobs for many young people.
He also praised the Industries for its unwavering commitment to key infrastructure provisions.
According to him, the award ceremony was the highlight of Marketing Edge’s 20th anniversary celebration and the 11th installment of its annual Brands and Advertising Excellence Award. Several more brands were also acknowledged for their remarkable market performance.
Ajayi noted that Marketing Edge’s introduction into the sector two decades ago cemented its position as an authoritative and trustworthy partner for all stakeholders in the Nigerian marketing and advertising ecosystem.
