David Kozak, the gunman who killed 14 people at a university in Prague, confessed to an earlier double murder in his suicide note, the Czech police revealed.
The note discovered in David Kozak’s home featured a confession that he killed a father and his young daughter in the woods near the city on December 15, six days before the Charles University attack.
He was on a list of 4,000 suspects for their murders, according to the police.
Kozak also assassinated his father, increasing his total number of deaths to 17.
The December 21st attack at the university was the worst mass shooting in Czech history.
Kozak, a 24-year-old university master’s history student, committed suicide after being surrounded by armed police.
The note was discovered by police in Kozak’s home on the same day as the attack.featured a confession that he had shot the pair dead a week before in Klanovice Woods on the capital’s eastern outskirts.
According to Czech media, the casualties are a 32-year-old male and a two-month-old girl.

Detectives stated it was “highly probable” that the gunman was also responsible for the Klanovice murders. Ballistics later corroborated this.
The police regretted not being able to speak with Kozak sooner, saying he was on a long list of possible suspects they wanted to speak with.
