The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 453 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 453 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 46,140.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 407 patients from isolation centers across the country with six new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 71 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 15768.
But it was the Federal Capital Territory that recorded the highest number of cases for the day with 75 news cases.
Benue state reported 53 new cases, Delta recorded 39 new cases while Borno, Enugu and Plateau recorded 30, 25 and 24 new cases respectively.
Other states are Osun-20, Abia-19, Oyo-17, Kaduna-16, Kano-13, Ebonyi-13, Ogun-9, Kwara-7, Ondo-6, Gombe-3, Ekiti-2, Akwa Ibom-1 and Rivers-1.
NCDC reports that there are 46,140 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 33,044 discharged and 942 deaths.
